It's no wonder Roatan is becoming increasingly popular as a stop for cruise ships. The pristine white sandy beaches, colorful coral reefs, and lush tropical foliage have made this a day-tripper's paradise. Because of its remote location, Roatan has maintained a laid-back, small-scale island atmosphere while offering all the services and amenities for an ideal Caribbean vacation.

You will be greeted with a warm welcome outside your Roatan ship terminal where your journey begins through small towns, fishing villages, past shipwrecks, local schools, hospitals, churches, local points of interest, groceries, and souvenir shops. Your first stop will be Central Park in the town of Coxen Hole where you can explore the old town, chat with locals, and taste the local cuisine.

You will then continue on to French Harbor to enjoy the quaint shops and buildings, and make use of the restroom facilities if necessary. If you enjoy wildlife and meeting native island creatures, for an additional $10.00 USD you can experience the opportunity to hold, pet, feed, and film monkeys, sloths, and various birds at the Wildlife Sanctuary Park.

Next, you will head to West End Village, home of the Chocolate Factory, where you will see the facility, sample some chocolate, and make a purchase to enjoy with family and friends. If time allows, you may stroll through the Village for more shopping, photo, and dining opportunities. For rum lovers, it is time to see the Rum Factory on the way to West Bay Village where you will enjoy free samples of rum and rum cakes made uniquely here on the Island.

Lastly, you will set off for West End Buccaneer to enjoy the fun with family and friends on a pristine sandy beach, where beach chairs, bathrooms, a changing room, free WI-FI, a free welcome drink (fruit punch or soft drink), and a freshwater shower are all included. Umbrellas are also available for an additional $5.00 USD charge. Watersports are also available for an additional cost, you can find parasailing, paddle boarding SUP, SCUBA diving, jet skis, and many more! Prices and reservations are available onsite when you arrive at the beach. You will be able to enjoy this paradise for approximately 2 hours.

With stops of 30-45 minutes at each venue, you will have enough time to experience the local flavor and comfortably enjoy the highlights of the island. With a maximum of only 15 guests, this excursion will provide an opportunity to enjoy the sites without the crowd. Upon conclusion of your adventure, you will be returned to your Roatan cruise terminal where you can board your ship or continue exploring at your own expense. Where we meet

For the Roatan Hop On Hop Off Bus Highlights and Beach Break Excursion, you will meet just outside your Roatan cruise terminal (Coxen Hole and Port of Roatan Mahogany Bay). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• The minimum age for alcohol consumption is 18 years old.
• Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
  
• There are no motorized wheelchairs or mobility scooter-accessible vehicles available.
• Guests must be able to step in and out of the transportation.
  

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
